Dean Kronsbein was a character larger than life — a man who filled the room. A born entrepreneur. A visionary who followed his dreams despite any obstacle in his way. He taught those around him that success is the sum of overcome obstacles, and he lived that lesson every day he worked.

He was an engineer by training — Dipl.-Ing. from Berlin — and everything he built was built properly. He founded Ultrafilter GmbH in Hilden because he believed the name stood for something he would not compromise: precision, reliability, and the knowledge that the filter either works or it doesn't.

What made Dean exceptional was not the company — it was the man. He rose to every challenge. He refused to allow the chaos around him to determine the conqueror within him. He stood fiercely in spite of opposition and said: I am going to do it anyway. In his friendships he gave everything he had, and he always looked for the best in others.

He grew up in Grimsby, England. He lived between two countries and brought the best of both into everything he touched. He loved to bring people together, loved a good party, and loved to have the people he loved around him.

Let us not mourn that such a man died —
but rejoice that such a man lived.

Dean Kronsbein passed away on 31 July 2022. The business he built continues under his son Dustin, who carries both the name and the standard forward.
