Winery Filtration

From vine to bottle, protected.

Every gas and liquid contact in the cellar — from inert-gas blanketing to the bottle headspace — is a route for oxidation or spoilage. We supply the filters that close every one of those gaps.

What's at stake

One breath
of oxygen
browns it.

Oxidation · Brettanomyces · re-fermentation in glass · a vintage that took a year to make.

Winemaking is a sequence of gas- and liquid-contact events from the press to the moment the cork goes in. Inert blanketing gas keeps oxygen off the wine. Every tank-vent breathing cycle is a route for airborne yeast, mould and acetic-acid bacteria. The final membrane is the last barrier against spoilage organisms, and the bottle-headspace gas is the last contact before sealing — get any one wrong and the vintage oxidises or re-ferments in glass.

Ultrafilter supplies filtration to wineries — sterile P-SRF depth elements (0.2 µm, min. 100 sterilisation cycles) for inert blanketing and bottle-headspace gas, P-BE vent filter elements and PF-PT PTFE membrane elements for tank venting, PF-BEV double-layer PES final membranes for the wine itself, and P-GS VE sintered-stainless steam filters for SIP/CIP. FDA 21 CFR per product DoC; EC 1935/2004 for P-SRF elements. Every element ships with its datasheet and food-contact Declaration of Conformity; sterile elements also with integrity-test record and validation guide.
