Pet food production line — extrusion and drying of dry kibble with culinary steam and sterile process air

Pet food filtration

From mix
to can,
clean.

Every utility that touches the product on a pet food line — tank-vent air, ingredient water, culinary steam — is a route for contamination. We supply the filters that close every one of those gaps.

What's at stake

One bad batch
ends a
brand.

Spoiled product · clogged spray balls · scaled steam gear · a recalled batch · a reputation built over decades.

Pet food production runs on shared utilities — process water, culinary steam and tank-vent air — and every one of them touches the product or the equipment that makes it. Unfiltered makeup air carries microorganisms into sealed wet, fat and palatant tanks. Boiler carry-over clogs CIP spray balls and scales steam heaters.

Ultrafilter has supplied process filtration — P-BE vent filter elements and PF-PT PTFE membrane elements for tank venting, P-GS VE sintered-stainless culinary-steam filters for CIP/SIP and for culinary steam where it contacts product, and PF-PP pre-filters and PF-PES membranes for coarse and ingredient water. FDA 21 CFR per product DoC, EC 1935/2004 food-contact; for SQF-certified plants. Every element ships with its datasheet and food-contact Declaration of Conformity; sterile elements also with integrity-test record and validation guide.
