Keep the water pure.
Bottled water must not be chemically altered by its filtration — every barrier has to remove what does not belong while leaving the minerals that define it. From the spring to the sealed PET bottle, we close every filtration point.
Turbidity · bioburden · tank-vent microbes — every one removed, the minerals left intact.
Natural mineral water is, in several European countries, the only food that must be officially recognised — and no chemical process is permitted in its preparation. Only filtration, decanting and aeration are allowed, and only if they leave the water's defining mineral composition untouched. That makes every filter a careful balance: remove particulate, turbidity and microorganisms, but never strip the character the consumer is paying for.
Ultrafilter supplies the full bottled-water line, point by point: PF-PP pre-filter into the buffer tank, a PF-PES sterilising-grade final stage on the water itself (food-contact DoC), a PF-PT PTFE membrane breather on the buffer-tank vent, P-SRF sterile depth elements for sterile process air, and P-GS VE sintered-stainless for the boiler steam that SIPs the line's filter elements. Food-contact compliant to EC 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR. Membrane and sterile elements 100 % integrity-tested before they leave Hilden — typically ships within 7 days.
Each family covers a duty on the bottling line. Each ships with its datasheet and food-contact Declaration of Conformity; sterile elements also with integrity-test record and validation guide.

0.2 µm PES sterilising-grade final membrane for mineral and spring water — removes bioburden without altering mineral character. FDA 21 CFR 177–182; EC directives for food contact.

Polypropylene depth pre-filter ahead of the final membrane — removes particulate and protects the membrane.

Sterile process air for the filling line — wound borosilicate depth element, 0.2 µm absolute, min. 100 sterilisation cycles.

Hydrophobic PTFE membrane breather, 0.2 µm, for the buffer-tank vent. Up to 100 forward steam cycles of 30 min at 135 °C, integrity-testable.

Sintered stainless filtration for the boiler steam that sterilises the line's filter elements in place. Welded end caps, 1 / 5 / 25 µm, to 210 °C.
Every element carries the paperwork your QA and production teams need before it ever contacts your fill-head air or rinse water.
Send us a P&ID, a flow rate, or just the duty — mineral-water pre- and final filtration, the buffer-tank vent, sterile process air or the steam / SIP circuit. We size the line and ship the documentation: datasheet and food-contact DoC, plus integrity-test record and validation guide for sterile elements.
