From silo to seal, sterile.
Every contact on a milk or yogurt line — process water and culinary steam, pre-filtration, the tank-vent breather and the sterile air at the aseptic filler — is a spoilage event waiting to happen. We supply the filters that close every one of those gaps.
Off-taste · spoiled silo · recalled lot · a reputation that took decades to build.
A dairy plant is a chain of contamination routes from the moment water and raw milk enter the plant to the instant the carton, bottle or cup is sealed — whether the product is pasteurised or ESL/UHT milk or a fermented product such as yogurt. Ingredient water must be microbe-free. Culinary steam must be particulate-free or it blinds the CIP wands. Pre-filtration guards the whole process against particulate. Every tank breathes in room air. And the sterile air at the aseptic filler is the last barrier before the consumer.
Ultrafilter supplies the dairy plant end to end, from fluid-milk lines to yogurt and other fermented products: PF-PP food-contact pre-filtration for water and process liquids, P-GS VE sintered-stainless for culinary steam and CIP/SIP, P-BE depth elements and PF-PT PTFE membrane elements for sterile tank venting, and P-SRF sterile depth (0.2 µm, min. 100 sterilisation cycles) for product-contact air at the aseptic filler. For plants operating under the PMO and EU Reg. 853/2004; food contact to FDA 21 CFR per the product Declaration of Conformity, EC 1935/2004 for P-SRF elements. P-GS and P-SWM steam elements comply with 3-A Accepted Practice 609-03 (manufacturer certificate on request); housings are stainless (304 standard, 316L optional, inner surface Ra ≤ 0.8 µm) and not 3-A registered. Every element ships with its food-contact Declaration of Conformity — typically ships within 7 days from Hilden.
Every filtration duty in a milk or yogurt plant is covered by one of these product families. Each ships with datasheet, validation guide and conformity documentation.

Sterile depth elements for product-contact air at the aseptic filler. 0.2 µm absolute, min. 100 sterilisation cycles — steam-sterilisable in place.

Sintered stainless for culinary steam where steam contacts product, and CIP/SIP on dairy hygienic circuits. Welded end caps, to 210 °C.

Sterile vent for milk silos, processed-milk and starter-culture inoculant tanks — keeps airborne bacteria out of stored ingredients. 99.99998 % related to 0.2 µm, min. 100 sterilisation cycles.

Hydrophobic PTFE membrane breather, 0.2 µm, as the alternative sterile vent on milk and ingredient tanks. Up to 100 forward steam cycles of 30 min at 135 °C.

Polypropylene food-contact pre-filter for coarse water, RO protection and process pre-filtration. Depth filter, not sterilising-grade.
Every element carries the paperwork your QA and production teams need before it ever contacts your process gas or product stream.
Send us a P&ID, a flow rate, or just the duty — culinary steam, pre-filtration, sterile tank venting or product-contact sterile air on your milk or yogurt line. We size the train, validate the elements and ship the documentation pack. Every time. Making cheese? See cheese filtration.
