Culinary and clean steam carry pipe scale and rust that wreck a sterilise cycle. Sintered stainless elements filter steam at temperature — protecting SIP, dairy, cheese, food and brewery lines where steam contacts product.
Three stainless element families — P-GS and P-GS VE sintered, P-SWM pleated wire mesh — all filtering to 1/5/25 µm absolute. Temperature range −20 °C to 210 °C. Choose by construction, filter area and duty cycle.
Stainless steel housings 304 (1.4301) or 316L (1.4404), PED 2014/68/EU. Select on connection standard and element range.
Stainless steel housing for steam and sterile gas: BSP/NPT thread and welded ends (0006–0288), DIN/ANSI flange (all sizes); 16 bar (0006–0192) / 12 bar (0288) / 10 bar (0432–1920); inner 0006–0288 etched and passivated, Ra 0.8; EPM gasket; up to 200 °C. Accepts P-GS, P-GS VE, P-SWM and P-SRF elements.
Stainless steel housing for sterile gas: clamp (0006–0192), DIN flange (from 0432); 16 bar (0006–0192) / 10 bar (0432–1920); EPDM gasket; pharma valves.
Enter your steam flow and pressure — the tool returns the housing, element count and the pressure drop across it, calculated on the IAPWS steam tables. No spec-sheet maths.
Same absolute retention grades, different construction. This guide explains when welded end caps (P-GS VE, welded end caps for temperatures above 150 °C) are the right call — and when the pleated wire mesh P-SWM suits high-flow, heavy-dirt or pulsed duty.
